Behind the Scenes 

 Jason Van Vleet

 I am the founder and CEO of HDTV Media.  As a producer and director for over the past 20 years, I am most known for my investigative documentaries.  The international attention received for those projects set a career in motion to produce feature length films.  I love the true crime, horror/thriller, fantasy, animated and family friendly genres, but I especially love stories based on true stories that inspire us all such as films like “The Rookie” and “Sea Biscuit”.  

 I got my start as a teenager when I began learning how to sculpt and make and paint latex masks.  I also learned how to do make up and effects for my own short films.   In order to get on movie sets as a youngster, I become a child actor by age 15 and acted in feature films and TV commercials.  I also began learning the art of cinema photography shortly there after. 

After finishing school at Colorado State University, I went to work for a production company  in Colorado and started shooting and editing promotional videos for fortune 500 companies such as The Walt Disney Company.  In addition to feature films, I still love to produce high quality videos and commercials for small and medium sized business and that has become focus of HDTV Media.  My hope is that my experience in all areas of production will benefit our clients and create commercials and videos we are all proud of and work well for you without huge price tags!
